Volunteering
Love animals? Want to help?
If you are over 16 years of age, you can volunteer with SASF. There are many ways that you can help homeless cats and dogs in the Stockton area. SASF needs volunteers for the many projects listed here. Your time and talents will save many pets’ lives!
Please complete our volunteer application (60 KB Adobe PDF, requires Adobe Reader to view) and stop by our Adopt-a-Pet adoption center, located 7475 Murray Drive, Suite 19 in Stockton to see what we do.
How you can help:
- Provide animal care and help with cleaning at our center
- Provide a foster home for abandoned puppies or kittens
- Assist with phones, scheduling for adoptions, and Planned Pethood programs
- Assist with fundraiser activities and planning
- Help with writing grant letters and applications
- Provide humane education programs to schools and public
- Help with pet adoptions at the Adopt-A-Pet Center
Fostering
Become a foster for cats and dogs! Many animals rescued from the shelter were abandoned or abused by their owners. They need to be loved and cared for until they are ready to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and ready for adopted. You can help by providing a temporary foster home for the animals so they don’t have to be kept in small cages where they often get sick.
For more information about how you can help, contact us at (209) 956-3647 or check out our opportunities on volunteermatch.org.
Thank you for caring about the animals!
